Community Groups Feeding the Homeless Inc. (CGFH) collaborates with around 15 informal volunteer groups in Auckland city centre that feed and provide support to homeless and other vulnerable people. CGFH applies for and manages grants on behalf of several groups, maintains a list of free meals in the city centre, shares relevant information with around 70 groups and individuals, and sources volunteers and rescued food. CGFH have been responsible for coordinating the last four World Homeless Day Auckland events. We supported Love Food Hate Waste's community fridge in the city centre and we established a new community fridge in 2023. CGFH became an incorporated society on 18 June 2019. Our committee meets bi-monthly.
